Health Care Supply and Resources

In the supply side of health care we are interested in how health services are composed from resources in order to deliver services to patients who need services and customers who demand services. Note these two views of service use. The key resources in a service industry like health care are the health practitioners, usually professions and organizations, who provide formal care and informal carers ,often family and friends who are unpaid volunteers, who provide personal care and support for everyday living activities like shopping, meals and housework. As a healing profession, healthcare was the ultimate service industry, with people committed to caring for the sick and dying. However, the growth of modern Health Care rise is based on advances in medical science and embodied knowledge as technology devices and procedures. Hence the emphasis on technology and workforce here
