Splash! Crowd Funding

Splash! is an addictive free learning environment for smartphones and tablets intended to inspire a new way of thinking primarily for k-12 students though applicable to all ages. Please take a look and support this effort. I am! And please repost this to as many places as you consider appropriate.

Free Learning Programs

Each of the following free learning programs is self-paced online. No special access is required for these programs though if you want to submit exercises for a review you will need a Kumu username which you can obtain for free at Kumu Registration.

The Essence of AND? a problem-solving learning environment intended to improve our capacity to solve problems so they stay solved and not create new ones in the process. Simulation with Insight Maker introduces the fundamental concepts and structures with which all stock & flow simulation are developed and provides a series of exercises to develop one's simulation skills.
Storytelling with Kumu presents the rationale for storytelling and then introduces the individual storytelling features of Kumu with a number of examples of how to effectively use them. One is encouraged to develop several sample stories and submit them for review. Certified Systems Thinker introduces one to what is considered the essential essence of understanding relationships and their implications and provides exercises to develop one's skills for doing so. {Reviews} Beyond Connecting the Dots is a new, free, kind of book on Systems Thinking and Modeling with truly interactive models in the book which you can experiment with as you read about them.
Systems Archetypes presents each of the most common systems archetypes as causal loop diagrams and as simulation models that you can interact with to better understand the behavior of the structures. Systems Practice is a course from +ACUMEN in cooperation with Omidyar Group which is free multi-week group workshop which is probably the finest piece of work I've seen on the process to date. The following resources have been collected and developed over the years and you are invited to use them to any extent they may assist you in further developing your capacity for understanding relationships and their implications. Also, there are almost 800 images, like the ones used on this page, and in many of my Kumu models, available for download from These were developed by James Bryon Cameron. Also on 17.08.02 a new page format was launched and the pages that are in the new format can be found at Category:SystemsWiki and the current work in progress at Category:WiP.
