| We believe employing a systems perspective provides individuals, groups and organizations a greater likelihood of creating the future they desire with fewer unintended consequences. The endeavor is to promote further awareness and understanding of the power and value of employing a systems perspective and create content essential to enable one to develop and evolve the skill and ability to think and act systemically. |
Reference Mode
From SystemsWiki
Before developing a model it is appropriate to create a depiction of the Behavior over Time of the situation you're attempting to model. It is this reference pattern that provides us with a point of ongoing reference during the modeling project enabling us to stay on track.
If you find that you can't draw the reference mode, you do not have a dynamic problem. [Ford 2009]
The developed model should produce the reference mode. This doesn't actually validate the model though it does create a level of confidence in the model.
